'Auld Lang Syne'....a song sang by students for their teachers when the latter retires from the teaching scene or when a loved one passes away. Yesterday was the first time I hear that song...... {Flashback} After a few rounds of BINGO with the old folks at Orange Valley, I was just chatting with one of the old folks , then the helpers brought an elderly woman and sat her next to me. I don't know what struck me, but her expression showed a lot of pain and her smiles are just something to cover it up. I was also told that she was a former teacher. Anyway, after we sang 'Peng You' and 'Yue Liang Dai Biao Wo De Xin', Zhang Hu said he could play 'Auld Lang Syne'. We were just enjoying the song when I noticed that she was tearing and just crying and crying. I just asked the woman opposite her, and she told me that she loved her husband very much and this song brought back memories of him, eventhough he has passed away. What a touching scene...
