December 31, 2006
31 December 2006, the last day of 2006. Time to look back at the year and reflect on it. Let me see, this year has been as always, well up and downs are a part of life. Hmm for most of the year I was working either at Kumon or at home, teaching my Form 5 students, all the best to them =)
Ups of 2006:
I got to do some work after quite a while studying and bunking at home. Spent about 4 months at Kumon, teaching math and english to small rich brats. I tell you, they can be a pain in the ass, well most of them. Running around not wanting to do work, keep asking for sweets etc etc. But it was an experience, first time working under a 'foreign' boss. :p
Got a place in NUS, eventhough I did not get the course I wanted. Really thank Godfor His goodness. Some people say that my results sure get a place, but I have heard of people with better results than me not getting a place at all. Environmental Engineering...seems like a prospective course, gaining popularity in the engineering world. =) Have to work hard next semester, taking 6 modules some more.
Passed all my modules taken in Semester 1 :D Not so great la the grade for CS1101C but I passed, thats the main thing.
Got my permanent driving license. Hehe 2 years of not driving(in Singapore) and got CDL when I came back. Yay, now I can drive my dad's toyota without the 'P' and whizzing down the lanes at 110 km/h =)
Downs of 2006:
Hmm lemme see...not getting Chemical Engineering as my main course? Minor disappointment, but Environmental is fine with me now =)
My B's in A-levels Chemistry and Math and also B+ in MA1505. I thought I could get A's in those 3 subjects. Must put it behind and look forward to 2007 =)...I guess that were my downs in 2006
Hope for 2007:
I really pray and hope that everyone that I know, and the people around me, will be blessed and have a great year. I've known some who are already having a great time. Hope that these people will continue to have the best in life.
God bless everyone and 2007 will be a wonderful year!! =)
Cheers everyone!!

Christmas should be a season of festive joy and celebration, but I'm sorry this year I won't be one of the billions of people participating in this. This period is full of worries and confusion for me.
Worries for the damn competition by photography committee that has to be done before school starts and it is now in a mess since everyone, except for one, of the committee members including me are either back in Malaysia or China. And the worst part is that I cannot even connect to them. E-mails, MSN offline messages have not brought out even the shadow of them. I really feel like driving up to Cameron Highlands and screaming my head off. So many things to do but the other members just does not want to be involved! That has been bugging me the day the holidays started. Grrrr I hate organising stuff when not everyone is involved!!!
Confusions, confusions, confusions. Are my feelings playing a trick on me? When I'm around certain people, I want them to stay far away from me, fearng that I won't be able to commit myself, but when they are really far away from me, I start to yearn for their company and regret letting them go. Why does man not treasure the treasure right in front of them? Taking things for granted, and treating the person as an object where he/she can throw any hurt, anger, frustration at. Just makes me feel confused at myself. Why am I acting like that? Why? Why?....

Ahhh...my first entry at home. It's been a long time since I've been back home. My first day back in my hometown and I have already eaten so much. Bak Kut Teh, Dim Sum, Mamak, Roti Bakar, Indian Rice. Imagine, it's only the first day and I have 20 more days in Malaysia. I don't know how I will become when I go back to Singapore on the 3rd of January...big?fat?more muscular?:p Oh well, off to playing scrabble with my naggy sister...lol

After 1 and a half days of sun, it started to rain and rain heavily it did. The first session started at about 5 pm. It was a heavy one, with thunder and lightning accompanying it. The thunder was so loud until Xinying came to my room to stay for awhile until it subsided. She played with her favourite hamster when she was in my room =) Well, it lasted for about 2 hours, so I thought it won't rain again. Little did I know after I came out of the bathroom, lo and behold it was raining again :p Oh well, it is going to be a cold and hopefully not so noisy night. I want to have training tomorrow...it is sooo fun..get to lose weight and whack balls at the same time :p

Today...the busiest day of the holiday..well comparing to normal school day, this is nothing la. Have to meet Zhin Vee and Nicole to discuss the details of the photography competition. Hope to get it done fast, since I am in charge of finding sponsors. My first time finding for sponsors and I hope I won't screw up. Well, after that is training for IHG tennis at 3 pm. Ahh brings back memories of training during my JC days...same training time and the baking in the sun. It is tough and tiring but the interaction with the other players make it fun. I'm looking forward to it :)
At night, I will read MLE, well try to read MLE. It's been bugging me for awhile now so I guess I have to start. Will read Chapter 2...Bonding or something like that...sounds so much like CM 1502 hahaha. Then, it will be time to watch Dark Water with Fung Hong, Eric and anybody who wants to watch..yay got more people to watch with tonight :D...Anyways, have to get ready for the meeting already. Just hope it does rain because I really want to blast the tennis ball...

Ahh...after a week of waiting...training starts tomorrow!! And the earliest time too..8.30 am...don't know whether I can wake up or not :p
Anyway, became an escort for Dina to Copthorne and for her Christmas shopping at Orchard. Her bag was heavy...14 kilos of pure clothes :p But I was rewarded well...lunch at pastamania...thankies Dina :D Later I followed her to shop stuff for her sisters and brothers and grandmother. Man I tell you, the Christmas shopping for toys is crazy...it was at the lobby at Taka and there were like hundreds of people jostling around for toys and gifts for kids. Singaporeans are crazy when it comes to shopping. I saw a woman buying like 675 dollars worth of beauty acccesories and she [aid with a 1000 dollar note. Dina and I were looking at her with amazement, someone carrying a 1000 note to go shopping?? The only time I got to hold one was when my dad changed money for me to bring back to Singapore. Other than that, it was 50 dollars at most. Well , Dina bought a coin box and a pencil box set for her sister, hairpins for her grandmother and a dinosaur set for her brother. Such a loving sister...but well, it's dad's money right not hers so...:p
Came back at about 4.30 after sending her off at Copthorne and took a nap. Was awakened by Fung Hong knocking on my door and it was quite a surprise that his racquet broke. Only after 8 days of playing, his racquet cracked already?? He was quite angry and went to the shop straightaway to complain. Well just hope that the agent does change one for him. Come on, titanium should be able to withstand for quite awhile, give this poor guy a break :p
Since I was awake, I went to the gym to work out, pumping iron and running for about 20 minutes. Good workout for me and a great preparation for training tomorrow :) Ate a healthy dinner of ginseng tea, biscuits and an apple. Ahhhh satisfaction.....
Just something that keeps bugging me....something to do with BGR...there is this theory that I have been mulling about...when someone has done wrong or has something to hide, he/ she will try to cover that particular thing by putting the limelight on other people so that their secret is safe....I am just thinking about it because I'm the one being victimised. Being a good friend with the opposite sex does not mean that the two will be a couple. What has this world become? Does this mean that a guy should only have a guy as a good friend and if it is a girl, she is his girlfriend? Thats absurd!! I'm so tired of the damn, stupid teasing!! Can't you just leave us alone and not spoil the friendship? If you are jealous then say so...going around telling friends not only in the country but to people in other continents, other universities, isn't it so childish. Is your secret so big that you are afraid that other friends will find out? Tell me...TELL ME!!!!
I'm too tired already. Well, if you still want to continue, I can't do anything, but just endure. Eventually whatever you are trying to hide will surface, like a bubble in the water...no matter how hard you try to keep it down, it will somehow find a way to make it to the surface...just keep that in mind...

It's 5.42 am...so calm, so serene the atmosphere, so conducive to just reflect our life and just focus on God. Listening to Don Moen now. He is a gifted singer, and his songs are so ministering =) I realised that at the end of the day, everything that we do, we have to have the Godly lifestyle in us. There are so many times where I just conviniently forget the goodness of my God that I just fall back into all the filth that I was once in. Vulgarity is so common, like it is my 4th language. Come to think about it, is it all worth it? Man, morning reflection really puts the problem right in front of your face. Have to deal with it before it gets out of hand. Well, time to get some rest. A few hours will do. And then its having a serious talking to myself.

These 7 words represents the 7 things I did today. Woke up at 9.30 am and went straight to the gym for a run. Haven't been running so I thought I will start building up my stamina and muscles now for IHG(for people like Alex who doesn't know, it is Inter-hall Games, not International Hard Gay @@). Watched the table tennis match between China and Singapore while running. As expected, China steamrolled to the gold medal, winning 3-0. Ran and ran for nearly 3 km before switching to the bicycles to cool down. Man, it was a good run and I'm already looking forward to pumping iron tomorrow at the gym :D
After all that workout, it was time for some SCRUBS!! It's super hilarious and I think I'm already hooked on it. 2 episodes of it was followed by a game of DoTA with Victor. Weee Drow Ranger is gay!!! I think I'm in love with her. Don't be jealous okay Lin Sien :p Own the scourge like mad!! And I had my second best kill record 31-2, haha the best one was with Sand King...30-1 and still going before I lagged out T.T But well that's life =)
I did not know that time zoomed so fast. When I finished, it was already 3.15...time to go meet Nay Ling and Deborah and Victor to go 'kai kai' at Chinatown. Had a great time there, taking candid photos and joking around. Bought a book for my aunt, Heavenly Man. Seems like a good read and I hope she will be blessed by it =) Buying the book made my wallet empty so Victor had to pay for my food when we went to eat. Nice peanut ginger soup. Heavenly peanut inside the 'dumpling'. Forgive me for my exaggeration, I'm a big fan of peanut butter, peanuts well stuff like that. Anyway, had to head back home at 7 pm because me and Vic had an appointment with Fung Hong to play squash =)
Squash is a nice game when you know how to play. The key thing I found out during that oone hour or so was that one has to always be on their toes and anticipating every single shot. Got trashed by 'master' Fung Hong haha and got a painful blister too, from the old racquet Fung Hong had. Can see the blood clot underneath the skin la. Oh well nevermind, sucess without obstacles is not as sweet. Train I will!!
DoTA was on the agenda again. Played with Jason, Vic and Lin Sien. Drow was her gay self again, getting 14 kills haha. Yeah, guess I better stop here...its time for Sin City before I sleep. Life is more fun without all those freaking exams!!
Well just as Jason Fried said...
'You don't need to win any medal to be sucessful!!'

One more paper to go for Semester 1, and I'm feeling lazy already. Had Physics test just now and then Computing tomorrow. Really really dont know what to do now. Just finished a game of DoTA with Eric, Gabriel and Suan East, mulling over what to do, and even if I want to study, how to study for CS1101C? :p
Physics...tough tough but yeah, managed to do most of it. Good thing its only 60%. If it was more, I don't know what I will get. After test, went with Dina to get Subway for lunch. There was a super long queue and I waited for like 45 minutes to get my food :p Anyway, came back, watched simpsons while eating my sandwich. Wow, I like their chilies...its heavenly!!! :D Aiyo...feeling sleepy now...finish writing this after I take a nap....
I'm back after a whole day of playing and playing...hahaha after CS1101C went on a date with Deborah at Bugis hehehe....at claypot rice and ice kacang...needed all the energy to keep up with her when she went shopping at bugis street lol. But yeah had quite a time with her haha walking for 3 hours made my legs tired...wow my stamina has gone down the drain...I could walk for the whole day last time :p Must go and train d haha Anyway when I came back it was CS, DoTA, MYTHBUSTERS, SPIDERMAN all the way until now. hahaha Oh well, I guess I better go and sleep because tomorrow promises more exciting things :D
