July 28, 2007

Day 5 was spent traveling around Aberdeen city with the car. The main highlight of the day was THE BEACH!! haha yup, the beach. There is a beach with amusement park there so we took a drive there to see how is it, whether it is better than Malaysian ones or not (obvious answer) On the way my sister showed us the Aberdeen FC stadium. Hahaha was quite happy cos i got to take photos at the stadium. Termaklumlah, pertama kali ternampak stadium di luar negara jadi lebih excited. Aberdeen FC wasn't so bad last year, they finished 3rd in the SPL so...
When we reached the beach, the wind was blowing hard, so it was quite cold. Imagine its already like 10 degrees, cold enough already and now the wind is blowing. Anyway, we took a stroll along the beach, taking photos and i was surprised to see 2 small kids in their swimsuit running to the water. It's so cold and they can still go swimming in the icy water?! It's crazy man!
Then we went to the cinema. I tell you, its 10 times much bigger than the midvalley cinema. The whole complex is the cinema itself! I think there are like 40 theaters there la :p Wanted to watch Die Hard 4.0, but it was getting late and we were hungry, so we went to the supermarket instead. They have Walmart there and the stuff is quite cheap plus the variety is massive. It took me some time even to choose which cereal I want for breakfast :p
The night was spent watching Simpsons on TV. They were showing it as a buildup to the Simpsons movie, well me and my cousin benefited from it haha =)

My journey to Aberdeen, Edinburgh and London :)
Went there with my mom and my cousin.
Below are excerpts of my experience,
though it may not be the full one,
but the important ones are
in :)

DAY 1-4

Touch down at Aberdeen Airport at 1.30 pm Aberdeen time. Ahhh ground at last after 12 hours on the plane :p The first step i took out from the plane, i was greeted by a gust of cold wind. Good thing i brought my jacket hahaha(and i thought summer was a hot period) Anyway, met with my sister and she brought us to her apartment to get settled down, unpacking and stuff.
After that, my stomach growled from hunger so my sister suggested this Japanese restaurant(can't really remember the name d :p) I ordered this fried rice and pork dish and as usual ordered a large one, thinking that the meal portions are the same as in Malaysia. Mana tau when the dish came, in was MASSIVE!! Me and my cousin were stuffed like a teddy bear after the meal and needed a long walk around town to get the food settled hahaha

The next 3 days were shopping days. They were having summer sale so almost all the shops are selling there stuff cheap. And I mean real cheap; imagine a tee for 1 pound. Yeah that was how cheap the sale was. So my mom and sister(women as usual) went on a shopping spree! leaving us guys behind. With not much selection, I only bought a watch, 3 t-shirts, and 2 pairs of pants, all for only 60 pounds. Cheap hor hehehe. More pictures below....enjoy :)
